Pam the FunkstressDJPam emerged on the scene in 1993 with the East Oakland based group The Coup. She is one of the true pioneers of female hip-hop DJs, not only as a club dj, but as a performing artist as well, known for cuttin the wax with more than just her hands. Altered GroundHostessAngel aka AlteredGround is a student of the universe, living and breathing the hip hop culture. She has been a Malika (sista) of the Universal Zulu Nation SF Chapter for over 5 years and she is currently the Co-Chapter Leader. She strives to preserve the hip hop culture and all its 5 elements. With the 5th being knowledge, she aims to use hip hop as a tool to empower the youth and the community.
